Creating Safer Campuses
Higher Education
The behavioral intervention team is not just a response to campus shootings and violence, but a proactive way to address the growing need in the college and university community for centralized, coordinated, caring, developmental intervention for those in need, prior to a crisis.

Organizations
Behavioral intervention teams are a relatively new concept in the workplace, spurred by increasing workplace violence and employees of concern. Unlike threat assessment teams, BITs look to get out ahead of violence before it emerges. Instead of focusing on assessing a threat that already may exist, BITs focus on the leakage and pathway to violence that are precursors.
