K-12 Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Standards and Best Practices

Become proficient in NABITA’s Standards for School-Based Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management in K-12 Education to ensure best practices for an effective team.

Expand and deepen your knowledge of Title IX and how it applies to your community.

Coordinator Two builds on the foundational material provided in Coordinator One and introduces many of the non-sexual harassment Title IX topics including pregnancy, minors, athletic equity, and intersection with Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This course also covers crossover between Title IX and the Violence Against Women Act’s (VAWA) amendments to the Clery Act, a brief discussion of climate surveys and prevention programming, and tips for structuring and evaluating your Title IX Team. For a deep dive into Athletic Equity, Section 504 & the ADA, or prevention and advocacy, please consider enrolling in one of ATIXA’s special topics courses.

Please note, this course is focused on Higher Education and will not include K-12 specific content. To attend ATIXA’s K-12 Coordinator Two, click HERE.
